Mixed Media Card 3 – Flower Card
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases
This is the third part in a 30 part series showing you different mixed media cards that I have made. These will all include video tutorials and I am hoping that you will get some great ideas and make your own mixed media cards for all occasions.
The intention is that you can make your cards using the craft supplies that you already have at home. Take my ideas and adapt them to what you have right now.
So, let’s get started.

You will need:
- Piece of card or card blank
- PVA Based Glue (I used decoupage glue)
- Tissue paper
- Flower Stamp ( I used a stamp and acrylic block)
- Ink pad
- Printable Greeting (free with heart template)
Simple Instructions
- Carefully rub the edge of the card along the ink pad to form a red edge to the card.
- Select a rubber stamp that you want to use for your flower. If you prefer you could draw or paint a flower.
- Place the stamp onto your clear acrylic block.
- Carefully cover your stamp with the ink and press it firmly onto your card. Remove it carefully so that you do not smudge it. (The advantage of using clear blocks is that you can perfectly position your stamp).
- I added a stamped greeting but you could add a printed greeting from my free selection below.
- Cut up your green tissue paper. I tore mine up into small pieces. Then either, glue it all down as I have down to form a green base or draw a leaf design and glue it into your design. Get creative!
- To form the stem roll up a piece of green tissue paper and glue it in place between your flower and your green base or leaves.
- Add any further embellishments like a greeting from my free printable greetings.
