This is the sixteenth part in a 30 part series showing you different mixed media cards that I have made. These will all include video tutorials and I am hoping that you will get some great ideas and make your own mixed media cards for all occasions.
This card is a card made really simply using paint chips from a DIY store and is easy for everyone to get great results with. Give it a try!
The intention is that you can make your cards using the craft supplies that you already have at home. Take my ideas and adapt them to what you have right now. Hopefully you will also find some new skills along the way.
So, let’s get started.

You will need:
- Piece of card or card blank
- Paint Chips / Samples
- Glue (simple gluestick is sufficient)
- Tape
- Printable Greeting (free)
Simple Instructions
- Select some paint chips from the DIY store (or use some you already have)
- Cut or tear them up to just have the colours showing and no text.
- Paint or otherwise decorate your card blank. Or leave it plain white.
- Arrange your paint chips and glue them in place. Use either an ordinary glue or foam pads for added depth.
- Add detail to your paint chips if you like, such as stamping or freehand writing.
- Add any other embellishments you like including a sentiment.
- You are all finished!
- For alternatives try utilising your paint chips differently – more or fewer, different shapes?
