Mixed Media Card 19 – Birthday Card

This is the nineteenth part in a 30 part series showing you different mixed media cards that I have made. These will all include video tutorials and I am hoping that you will get some great ideas and make your own mixed media cards for all occasions.
This card is a birthday card but you could use this idea for any occasion just by using a different greeting. Give it a try!
The intention is that you can make your cards using the craft supplies that you already have at home. Take my ideas and adapt them to what you have right now. Hopefully you will also find some new skills along the way.
So, let’s get started.

You will need:
- Piece of card or card blank
- Glue (simple gluestick is sufficient)
- PVA or Decoupage glue
- Piece of lace
- Tissue paper
- PVA or decoupage glue
- Printable Greeting (free, see below)
Simple Instructions
- Take some small pieces of tissue paper and glue them to the front of the card. You apply decoupage (pva) glue to the card and then add more glue over the tissue paper. You are decoupaging. Cover as much or as little of the front as you like.
- Add as many layers of tissue paper as you like and do not worry about wrinkles, they add to the texture.
- Leave it to dry
- Add any lace that you like using the same decoupage technique.
- Alternatively you could add washi tape, doodles, stamps, etc
- Add any other embellishments you like including a sentiment. You can get free sentiments below.
- You are all finished!
