0:01
hi today in this video i'm going to show
0:02
you how to upcycle some of your old tin
0:05
instead of letting them go to recycling
0:09
how about upcycling them into some great
0:10
storage so today we're going to use
0:12
popsicle sticks or craft sticks
0:14
depending what you call them
0:16
so please remember to subscribe below
0:19
and give me a thumbs up if you like the
0:21
and let's get going i'm christine of
0:24
christine's crafts.com and this channel
0:26
all about crafting on a budget so the
0:29
first thing you're going to need
0:30
is your tin can make sure you've
0:32
thoroughly washed it and dried it and
0:35
get your popsicle sticks or craft sticks
0:37
whatever colors you like
0:39
and hot melt glue gun great tool
0:44
so the first thing you're going to do is
0:48
so you'll see that i've gone for a
0:51
so apply some glue to the top and the
0:55
if it's like mine it's got a little
0:59
place on one of your craft sticks and if
1:01
you've put enough glue on place two on
1:03
make sure they're firmly in place you'll
1:06
notice that i stand the tin
1:08
can down onto the table that's to make
1:12
exactly the same height so i just press
1:16
all just touch the table the last thing
1:19
we want is them up and down and higgledy
1:21
piggledy all over the place unless
1:22
that's the design you're going for again
1:26
stand it down firm them on make sure
1:31
and then you literally keep going all
1:34
the way around your tin
1:36
so notice that i'm doing it two craft
1:41
that's because hot melt glue can go hard
1:44
quite quickly and i don't want any
1:45
difficulties in getting them to glue on
1:48
so two seems to be about the right
1:52
if you can get away with three or four
1:53
and that's all you want to do fine
1:55
or just glue one at a time it's
1:59
since we get about halfway around i'm
2:01
going to pause it and
2:02
show you where we're up to because
2:04
you'll notice this has been sped up i
2:06
don't really work that fast
2:08
so as you can see it's really starting
2:12
so then simply carry on and work your
2:14
way around the rest of the tin
2:18
you'll notice i keep pulling little
2:20
strings off that's just strings of the
2:22
hot melt glue and i'm just tidying a bit
2:25
now as you get to the back it might not
2:29
you might be able to jiggle it a bit so
2:30
they fit in but if you're like me you've
2:32
got a little space that one doesn't
2:35
don't worry just apply some glue and go
2:39
two edge sticks and then stick one
2:42
that's just slightly raised just
2:46
over the other sticks it really won't be
2:48
obvious and you can just put it to the
2:50
of your storage and there you go you've
2:52
got a whole pot covered
2:54
you've seen i use mine to put pens in
2:56
but you could use them for whatever you
2:59
so off you go get yourself making yours
3:03
and please let me know in the comments
3:04
below how it goes and what you use yours
3:08
thank you for watching i hope you've
3:09
enjoyed it and please remember to
3:13
give me a thumbs up below if you hit the
3:15
bell you'll always know when a new video
3:18
and enjoy your crafting bye
