in this video we're going to take a
0:01
paperclip a normal paper clip and turn
0:03
it into a beautiful little angel for
0:05
your Parcels or to hang on your tree so
0:08
all you need to do to start with is get
0:10
your paperclip and straighten it which
0:12
sounds a lot easier than it is um you
0:15
can just use your fingers you don't have
0:16
to get it perfectly straight but if you
0:19
straighten it out like I'm doing here
0:20
and then you get to the point where you
0:22
go I really can't get it as straight as
0:23
I would like what you can do is get some
0:26
pliers and just use those to straighten
0:29
it out a bit which is what I'm going to
0:30
show you and it's just going to allow
0:32
some of those Kinks to get straightened
0:35
out once you're happy with your paper
0:38
clip or piece of wire as we should call
0:40
it now we need to find the center pop
0:43
your finger on it and bend the wire
0:46
Around Your Finger now it depends on the
0:48
size of your fingers but I tend to use
0:50
my four finger and bend it on both
0:54
sides and that's going to form the
0:57
triangle at the bottom of your angel
1:01
and then just push those sides down
1:03
until you're happy with it again if
1:05
you're not happy with the shape of the
1:06
triangle tweak it adjust it straighten
1:09
it out and start again you're just going
1:12
to try and get to the point where yours
1:14
looks like mine you want quite long
1:17
sides because we're going to use those
1:18
to form the nice little angel
1:21
wings so once you're happy that it does
1:25
look like that you're going to form
1:27
those wings simply by four
1:30
folding either side down in half bring
1:35
them to the front of your
1:36
angel and just make them so that they
1:39
overlap the
1:42
triangle and again you can just spend a
1:44
little bit of time tweaking them and
1:47
making sure you're happy with them and
1:49
you'll also find at this point you can
1:51
make your angel as 3D or 2D as you like
1:53
so you might want to flatten it down and
1:55
make it a really flat Angel you might
1:58
want to pull bits up or back so that you
2:00
get a bit more of a 3d effect but you
2:03
can see what I'm doing here I'm just
2:04
tweaking it until I'm
2:07
happy and then once you are happy with
2:09
yours you can see I'm just adjusting
2:12
it's going to be time to attach the
2:14
ribbon now you want a nice thin fine
2:17
ribbon and I tend to use six or8 Ines so
2:20
6 in if it's just going to be a little
2:22
tag 8 in if I'm going to hang it on a
2:23
Christmas tree and then fold it in half
2:27
and feed the loop through through the
2:30
angel now you want it up in that top
2:34
section just between those wings and
2:37
then you're going to feed the other end
2:40
the two ends of the ribbon through that
2:44
Loop just to secure it to the top of the
2:48
Angel if you're enjoying this video
2:50
please give me a thumbs up so it spreads
2:52
to more people let's fill the world with
2:55
angels be them Christmas angels or
2:57
guardian angels
3:01
and then once that's all secure it's
3:04
time to add your bead now you can use
3:06
any bead you like but I tend to find
3:08
they're quite narrow so a good little
3:10
tip here is to thread your Ribbon onto a
3:13
needle that's got a wide eye and that
3:16
will make it easier to thread the ribbon
3:17
onto the uh the beads onto the ribbon
3:20
even so feed it through and then you'll
3:24
have a nice little bead for a head I
3:28
mean if you were to use a bead you could
3:30
write on you could even add a
3:32
face and then it's up to you whether you
3:34
knot it on top of the head or not so
3:37
I'll just show you doing that but you
3:39
don't have to just makes the bead a
3:41
little bit more
3:43
secure and then KN the other end of the
3:46
ribbon to form the hanging
3:50
Loop don't worry if your ends don't line
3:53
up perfectly you've got the opportunity
3:55
to trim them so now you're happy it's
3:59
all complete e just trim off those ends
4:01
to make it nice and tidy and then you
4:04
can gift your angels hang your angels on
4:07
the tree or perhaps attach them to your
4:09
Parcels to make them super special enjoy
4:12
your angels
