hi in this video i'm going to show you
0:04
super easy tissue paper flowers if you
0:06
stay till the end i'm going to show you
0:07
some variations that are
0:09
really really easy too so please
0:11
subscribe below and give me a thumbs up
0:13
if you like the video
0:14
i'm christine of christine's crafts and
0:16
this channel is all about crafting on a
0:19
so what are you going to need for your
0:20
paper flowers some paper napkins or
0:24
you can see it's just an ordinary napkin
0:28
and some scissors and that's it
0:31
really simple so the first thing you
0:33
need to do is get yourself some squares
0:36
or rectangles of your tissue paper to
0:38
make your flower from
0:40
so paper napkin i'm just going to cut it
0:41
into four using tissues perhaps
0:44
you'll use a few tissues once you've got
0:47
take one side and fold a small edge over
0:52
turn the whole lot over and repeat
0:55
and you want all your folds to be
0:57
approximately the same size
0:59
so then turn again and
1:02
fold it again and just keep doing that
1:06
until you get right to the other end of
1:10
and you will have formed a nice little
1:16
and that's the basis for our flower so
1:18
we now need to find the middle
1:20
of our concertina so make sure you've
1:25
fold it in half and that identifies
1:28
exactly where the middle of it is
1:31
and now you're going to staple right
1:33
through your concertina in the middle
1:35
now if like me stapler only just goes
1:37
through all those layers
1:39
i recommend you staple it from one side
1:43
and then turn the whole over and staple
1:45
it from the other side
1:47
if you're really unsure you can put more
1:49
staples in they won't be obvious when
1:51
the flower is finished so don't worry
1:54
what matters is that it stays securely
1:57
you don't want it coming undone
2:00
so now you're going to turn that into a
2:04
so on one side just take the top layer
2:08
of tissue paper and as my paper napkin
2:10
it's two ply there are two layers
2:13
separate them and pull the top one up
2:17
and then you'll have one left to pull up
2:21
and then you're just going to keep doing
2:22
that so if you've got four layers
2:25
of paper napkin you're going to end up
2:28
eight layers of petals when you fluff
2:33
now you just keep going until you've got
2:35
all your layers up to the top and form
2:39
and then you're going to swap to the
2:41
other side and do the whole thing
2:43
all over again it really is that simple
2:47
and that's straightforward
2:48
it's great for involving kids kids can
2:50
make these really easily with you
2:53
you can sit fluffing them up and you can
2:56
loads and loads of flowers and that's
3:02
you'll end up with a pretty flower but i
3:04
said at the beginning of this video that
3:07
options different things you could do to
3:09
make your flowers more personal to you
3:12
and perhaps more realistic or a
3:18
so let's see what this one looks like
3:23
and there you go a nice smooth flower
3:26
but you might want your petals a little
3:30
so once you've got your concertina and
3:33
you could cut right round the ends
3:37
to form a curved top and that'll make
3:40
your petals more realistic
3:43
or you can cut down your concertina
3:46
slightly like you can see me doing here
3:49
and that's going to give you a more
3:51
jagged edge to your petals
3:53
a bit more of um perhaps a chrysanthemum
3:57
of flower so you would just open it up
4:02
and then fluff it up in exactly the same
4:07
so once you've fluffed it up your flour
4:09
would look like this you can see all
4:10
those little cut edges you get a lot
4:13
solid petal and if you chose to round
4:17
the ends you're going to end up with
4:20
on your petals and that's all there is
4:23
choose the style you like and make
4:25
yourself loads of flowers for that
4:26
special occasion to decorate your home
4:28
or perhaps to make a garland
